“Smoke and Skin” was inspired by a trip I took to British Columbia in June 2022. This piece reflects my time spent walking along Chesterman Beach at dusk in Tofino British Columbia. To warm the ocean chill that would arrive in the evening, campfires would be lit every night along the beaches.
